I hope this thread is in the correct place as I couldn't find a forum here that matched my needs.
The Quick run down... I have CRM 2011 online edition that contains an Entity called Product (pretty much the default with a few added fields). I am needing away to basically have an ASP.NET application that can refresh/upload data to this entity. I know that I can upload an CSV or XML file in the correct format via the import manager in Dynamics CRM 2011, but I have a specific reason for my needs.
CRM online has a list of the products simply to attach them to Opportunities and quotes for pricing and quoting reason. The ASP.NET application I have in local to our intranet and needs to be because it connect to MAS 500 and several other programs for material costing and tracking, etc... Basically once a department has completed building a new product I need away to update CRM via the end user of the ASP.NET app pushing a button.
I need help on getting started with this part of the project, I cannot seem to find any resources to help, I have downloaded the SDK for CRM, but can't seem to find any example code or write ups to cover my needs. I have been able to find ways to upload an entire solution, but not data into the entities.
I would assume this is possible, but assuming can be a bad thing. I do need t know if it is possible, because if it isn't I need to let the powers to be know that we need to kill the CRM project and look for another solution.
